Karen Cuda attended Metro State College in Denver for music theory, University of Colorado at Denver for private music instruction, and cut her teeth in many Denver bands along the way.  Most recently, she spent the last 8 years (2004-2013) rockin’ the low end with her surf green Fender bass with Grammy nominated rock band, Nashville Pussy, as they toured the globe. From multiple tours of Europe, Australia, South America, Canada, and the Far East, and back to the USA, Karen has been playing her bass with a big attitude and a ferocious confidence for nearly hundreds of thousands of fans. As a former member of Nashville Pussy, her thundering bass lines appeared on three albums, “Get Some” (2005), “From Hell to Texas” (2009), and 2012′s re-release of “From Hell To Texas”, which included many additional live tracks.  She also appeared on the live Dvd, “Live in Hollywood” (2008). Prior to her role in Nashville Pussy, she was a founding member of the now retired Denver, CO power pop trio Hemi Cuda. She appeared as bassist, co-writer, and co-vocalist on both albums by the band, “Classics for Lovers” (2004) and “Thick Riffs & Tasty Licks” (2006), on which she also co-produced. In the summer of 2009, Karen participated as the bass instructor and “band coach” with Girls Rock Denver, a non-profit program which teaches music and self-empowerment to Denver area girls at an annual summer music camp. Karen returned to Girls Rock Denver  in 2010, even expanding on her duties as gear and showcase venue coordinator, in addition to recruiting some instructors. Karen began working with School Of Rock Denver and School Of Rock Littleton in the summer of 2012 by hosting “Karen Cuda’s Punk Parties”, two “boot camp” productions which she co-directed and coached.  She continues her work with School Of Rock as a part time music instructor and band coach, and has recently been recruited as an instructor for their new program, Little Wing, that teaches musical concepts to 4 and 5 year olds.  Karen also continues to be a frequent accompanying bass player with virtuoso guitarist/songwriter, Eric McFadden, and is currently working on her own musical projects in Denver.
